Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am - 4:30 pm with ability to travel to locations in both Dutchess and Orange Counties Salary: $73,000- $80,000 Position Summary: The Sr. IT Support Administrator provides 1st call IT support to students, educators, therapists, and administrative staff at Abilities First’s school locations. They will help in planning and execution of IT projects related to these locations, identify IT related issues and relay information for long term planning. The Sr. IT Administrator will also provide secondary support for IT maintenance at other non-school locations as needed and will assist in training for technology-related topics in orientation and in programs where an identified need exists. The Sr. IT Administrator will support the IT team in maintaining network asset accountability and will support other areas of the agency in technology adoption for people we support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Data Science, or related field required; a combination of education and previous experience may be considered.
  • Five (5) or more years of Information Technology experience, including but not limited to deploying and maintaining computers, printer, basic network elements and iPads in an enterprise environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with and train non-technical users.
  • Must have a current NYS driver’s license, deemed acceptable by our insurance carrier.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective 1st call hardware/software/network support for school locations.
  • Maintain documentation where required using specified tools.
  • Effectively communicate with team members and end users across various communication systems and websites.
  • Drive IT innovation and network improvements at school locations.
  • Responsible for accountability of equipment, software, and services for school locations.
  • Incorporate and drive MDM adoption/use for mobile devices at all school locations.
  • Assesses and makes recommendations for appropriate technology available to facilitate services and provide tools for staff.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all goals and skillsets required, on which performance will be evaluated.
  • Ensures all required trainings and certifications required are current and seeks further support and training where needed.
  • Adhere to agency Code of Legal and Ethical Behavior, which require all employees, consultants, board members, volunteers and affiliates to perform their responsibilities according to ethical and legal standards with honesty, integrity, fairness, good faith and respect for others and the law.
