Develop and execute category strategies for technology and IT-related spend, including enterprise software, SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, networking, telecoms, technology consulting, and emerging AI/ML solutions. Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing activity, including market analysis, demand planning, supplier identification, RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, bid evaluation, negotiations, award recommendations, and implementation support. Own and manage a forward-looking renewal pipeline for material IT contracts, identifying opportunities to consolidate suppliers, reduce duplicate spend, renegotiate pricing, improve commercial terms, and avoid unnecessary auto-renewals. Partner with Technology leadership and business owners to understand technology roadmaps, budget priorities, service requirements, and vendor dependencies. Negotiate complex commercial terms, including pricing, discounts, enterprise licensing models, consumption-based pricing, service credits, benchmarking, renewal caps, audit rights, and termination rights. Work closely with Legal to support consistent contracting positions and appropriate escalation of key legal and regulatory issues, including liability, data protection, confidentiality, intellectual property, audit, outsourcing, resilience, and exit provisions. Coordinate with Information Security, Data Privacy, Enterprise Vendor Risk Management, Compliance, Business Continuity, and Architecture teams to ensure technology suppliers are reviewed and onboarded in accordance with applicable procurement, risk, and governance requirements. Support sourcing and contracting processes for higher-risk engagements, including vendors with access to Janus Henderson systems, personal data, confidential information, ICT services, AI/ML functionality, or critical business processes. Use spend data, contract data, and supplier performance information to identify savings opportunities, risk concentrations, and sourcing priorities. Track and report sourcing pipeline, savings delivery, avoided cost, contract risk improvements, cycle times, and stakeholder outcomes. Build strong relationships with key vendors and internal stakeholders, acting as a trusted commercial advisor and escalation point for technology sourcing matters. Contribute to procurement playbooks, templates, governance standards, and continuous improvement initiatives that support a scalable global strategic sourcing model. Carry out other duties as assigned.
