About The Position

SAIC is searching for a Senior IT Architect with a strong desire to build excellence in the Growth organization by improving the performance of both capture teams and individual members. He/she must have proven success in capturing, managing, solutioning and/or executing new business for Civilian, Space, Intelligence, and/or Defense Domains to join our Pursuit Advancement Team. The Senior IT Architect will lead/participate in Deal Assessments, provide specific deal recommendations to maximize win probability, perform mentoring and coaching of Capture Managers, Business Development, and Solution Architects, and engage on opportunities to improve the deal quality and make our approach meaningful to the customer. This individual will have technical acumen and experience with Cloud, Data, AI/ML, IT/Software development, maintenance, and operations. The Senior IT Architect is responsible for supporting tens of pursuits simultaneously with experience and ability to flex across multiple customer domains and technologies.

Requirements

• Demonstrate experience in multiple customer domains (Civilian, Space, Intelligence, and/ or Defense Domains).
• Demonstrate successfully performed in at least two roles in the business development and program execution lifecycle, i.e., capture, business development, line management, solutioning (architect, chief systems engineer), and/or technical or program management execution.
• Demonstrate excellent critical thinking, win-strategy development, problem solving, business acumen, and interpersonal skills to develop teams and construct near-term strategies for business development, capture, and solutioning designated deals.
• Demonstrate competent and confident leadership with an ability to effectively assess and contribute to deal quality improvement ideas, best practices and use of standard tools and processes, with emphasis on win strategies, value propositions, strength-based approaches, and technical and management solutions.
• Demonstrate ability to work effectively in fast-paced, time sensitive and often multi-tasking environment.
• Demonstrate the ability to apply industry best practices (Agile, ITIL, DevSecOps, MLOps, etc.).
• Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, IT, engineering, mathematics or other science plus twenty (20) years or more of related experience.
• Demonstrated, sustained ability and reputation for leading or contributing to winning complex, product, and service contract awards for government with values reaching over $100M single-award deals.
• Experience utilizing various contract vehicles.
• Experience in at least one more function: line management, business development, capture, and/or solution architecture for large programs valued at more than $100M.
• Demonstrable understanding of federal procurement acquisition process, contract types (CA/SA, OTA, Self-Scoring, IAC MAC TO, commercial, IDIQ - single or multiple award contracts), as well as payment types (e.g., FFP, T&M, cost plus) is expected.
• Experienced and confident working with senior and executive management within the company and with senior level Government customers.
• U.S. Citizen with or able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead/Participate in Deal Assessments.
• Provide specific deal recommendations to maximize win probability.
• Perform mentoring and coaching of Capture Managers, Business Development, and Solution Architects.
• Engage on opportunities to improve the deal quality and make our approach meaningful to the customer.
• Lead/ Participate in workshops to mature and improve quality of business development, capture, and solution artifacts.
• Effective collaboration with Capture Managers, BD leads, subject and technical matter experts, lead estimators, functional leads, Program and Proposal Managers with an ability to translate strategy and technical information into proposal submissions.
• Assess customer requirements by leveraging knowledge of FAR and non-traditional acquisitions, to recommend improvements for a targeted, differentiated win strategy.
• Assess competition, evaluating strengths and threats to differentiate SAIC against competitors.
• Assess win strategy; identify approaches to test and validate solutions with customers, advance value proposition and differentiated bid elements.
• Assess and recommend customer engagement opportunities to reinforce win strategy and shape deal toward SAIC’s strengths.
• Participate in internal gate reviews, execution risk reviews, and capture reviews; and document lessons learned.
• Ability to build and work within high-performance teams in a matrix-management environment.
• Participate in proposal color reviews as section lead, horizontal reviewer or volume/section contributor.
• Technical or Management section contributor/author for proposal development.
• Execute Corporate BD CONOPS and implement SAIC growth culture.
• Identify gaps and develop strategies to overcome weaknesses and mitigate risks.
• Apply AI to increase productivity and quality.
• Communicate clearly with senior and executive management within the company.
