About The Position

Bright Horizons Children’s Centers LLC is seeking a Senior IT Software Developer to join their team. This role involves developing and supporting new and existing software applications, leading software architecture and design for development teams, and solving complex business problems through software solutions. The developer will work in a collaborative, fast-paced, and agile environment, focusing on back-end development using .NET Core and C# within the Microsoft technology stack. Key responsibilities include designing system enhancements, building modern user-centric web applications on a Microservices architecture using cloud (Azure) technologies and DevOps practices, and working with modern architectural approaches like microservices, containerization, and continuous delivery. The role also involves evaluating business requirements, designing RESTful services and APIs, working with relational databases and entity frameworks, and collaborating with Application Support and Quality Assurance teams. The developer will act as a change agent, applying Typescript, Angular, DDD, Microservices patterns, and Azure using GIT-based source control systems, and working with front-end technologies such as CSS (Foundation or Bootstrap), JavaScript, HTML, JavaScript libraries (ngRx, httpClient), and CSS preprocessors (Sass, LESS).

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and five years of experience in application development. In the alternative, employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and three years of experience in application development.
Three years of experience in development in Microsoft technology stack.
Three years of experience in back-end development using .NET Core and C#.
Three years of experience in designing and developing RESTful services and APIs.
Three years of experience in GIT based source control systems.
Three years of experience in relational databases and entity framework.
Three years of experience in CSS (Foundation or Bootstrap), JavaScript, and HTML.
Three years of experience in JavaScript libraries such as ngRx or httpClient.
Three years of experience in CSS preprocessors including Sass and LESS.
Three years of experience in Typescript and Angular.
Three years of experience in maintaining and improving an existing codebase.

Responsibilities

Develop and support new and existing software applications.
Lead software architecture and design for both internal and external software development teams.
Solve complex business problems by designing and building software solutions to improve user experience in a collaborative, fast-paced, and agile environment.
Perform back-end development using .NET Core and C# and Microsoft technology stack to design system enhancements and business process changes geared to drive best practices to improve efficiency, accuracy of results, and usefulness of data.
Build a modern user-centric web application on Microservices architecture from vision to production-ready system using cloud (Azure) technologies and DevOps practices.
Work with the latest architectural approaches such as microservices, containerization, Cloud technologies (including Azure and Angular), and continuous delivery and automation alongside open-source frameworks and tools.
Evaluate business requirements, providing alternative solutions where applicable in conjunction with outside vendors in a shared development environment.
Design and develop RESTful services and APIs.
Work with relational databases, SQL, and entity frameworks to proactively identify ways in which system and process changes can improve efficiency for key users, customer service, accuracy of results, and completeness of data.
Work with Application Support and Quality Assurance teams to support application issues, changes, and modifications.
Act as a change agent and apply Typescript and Angular, DDD, Microservices architectural patterns, and Azure using GIT based source control systems to maintain and improve existing codebase.
Work with CSS (Foundation or Bootstrap), JavaScript, HTML, JavaScript libraries such as ngRx, httpClient, and CSS preprocessors, including Sass and LESS.
