Senior IT Project Manager
About The Position
This role involves independently managing multiple large and complex projects that require significant functional integration and procedural change management. The Senior IT Project Manager will lead large cross-functional teams, consisting of both business and technical members, and will play a consultative role in establishing effective project management practices, including people, processes, and tools. The position requires overseeing projects with complex business and technical challenges, addressing escalated issues with both technical depth and business acumen to ensure minimal disruption, and coordinating the sharing of leveraged resources among projects. Additionally, the role involves defining, implementing, and consulting on project management standards and processes for relevant teams or projects.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree and 6-8 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of IT project management experience, ideally in the public sector or with government clients.
- Proven track record of delivering complex technology projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PMP, Six Sigma, or Agile certifications preferred).
- Familiarity with public sector procurement processes and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with tools such as MS Project, Jira, or Trello for project tracking and reporting.
- Eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government due to potential access to export-controlled commodities and technology.
