$176,000 - $195,000

About The Position

As a Senior IT Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain automation solutions that reduce manual IT overhead, improve system reliability, and enforce compliance across the enterprise SaaS and application ecosystem. You will execute on complex integration and workflow automation projects independently, contribute to architectural decisions, and collaborate closely with the Staff Engineer and IT leadership to deliver high-impact solutions at scale. This role operates within a HIPAA-compliant, SOC 2-audited environment and requires a strong engineering foundation paired with practical experience in enterprise IT contexts.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years in IT Engineering, IT Apps Development, or a closely related discipline, with meaningful experience in enterprise automation.
  • Proficient in Python or an equivalent modern scripting/programming language used for automation and backend logic.
  • Strong working experience with REST APIs; ability to evaluate API documentation and build reliable integrations independently.
  • Hands-on familiarity with administering and automating major enterprise SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, Okta, or similar).
  • Working knowledge of identity lifecycle management, SSO, SCIM provisioning, and RBAC concepts.
  • Comfort querying and managing relational databases (SQL required).
  • Familiarity with SOC 2 or HIPAA requirements as they relate to IT controls and access management.
  • Able to clearly communicate technical work and trade-offs to both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with workflow automation platforms such as Workato, Zapier, Okta Workflows, or similar.
  • Familiarity with IaC tooling (Terraform, Pulumi).
  • Exposure to agentic AI frameworks or LLM-based automation tooling.
  • Experience with JAMF, Fleet, or equivalent MDM/endpoint management platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automated workflows for user provisioning/de-provisioning, access management, onboarding/offboarding, and self-service IT processes across the core SaaS stack (Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, Rippling, etc.).
  • Build and maintain reliable integrations between enterprise systems using REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven patterns.
  • Implement and maintain automated IAM processes — including role-based access control (RBAC), least-privilege enforcement, and access review automation — in alignment with compliance requirements.
  • Automate ticket routing, lifecycle management, and CMDB updates within the IT service management platform.
  • Develop automated controls and evidence collection pipelines that support SOC 2 and HIPAA audit requirements.
  • Produce clear technical documentation for all automation solutions and actively participate in architecture and code reviews.
