About The Position

The Senior Director of Epic Revenue Cycle Applications is responsible for leading the strategic planning, implementation, optimization, and ongoing management of revenue cycle solutions within the organization. This role ensures that all revenue cycle applications, including Epic and associated third-party tools, support the organization’s financial and operational goals, enhance revenue integrity, and drive efficiency across all related processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in health information management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Extensive experience (typically 15+ years) in healthcare IT with a focus on Epic revenue cycle applications and leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Familiarity and experience with technology solution delivery and process improvement methodologies including waterfall, Agile, Lean or similar (Six Sigma/DMAIC).
  • Proven ability to lead large teams and complex projects in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing a hybrid on-site/off-site team including full-time employees, contract workers, and vendor-based managed service teams.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the utilization of information system resources and plans, designs, and implements organization wide information systems and technologies for large and/or multiple areas of the organization.
  • Assigns and coordinates the work of Information Technologies staff, contractors and vendors. Provides overall technical leadership within a structure that is consistently expanding through organization wide system development and departmental utilization of microcomputers.
  • Coordinates planning, design, implementation, and technical support of information systems, networks, and departmental applications.
  • Collaborates with the CIO in establishing organizational goals for information systems and technologies.
  • Directs the development of the Information Technologies operating budget and maintains required controls to assure compliance with budgeted expenses, resources, and staff projections.
  • Responsible for the development of organization-wide systems standards (hardware, software, network systems) policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for development and implementation of information systems disaster recovery plans.
  • Develops staff and monitor programs to support production services including staffing, standards, productivity analysis, cost factors, benefits realization, and operations processing.
  • Coordinates, develops, and executes program for continual measurement of the organizations information systems, and communication networks performance and effectiveness.
  • Ensures the provision of cost efficient information services and systems. Anticipate developments in fields of information technology. Write recommendations for management review of enhancements to existing systems through ongoing review.
