Senior IT Consultant

Network RightSan Francisco, CA
$95,000 - $110,000Onsite

About The Position

Network Right is seeking a Senior IT Consultant to be the technical backbone of their service delivery team. This role is for an individual who can handle complex technical challenges, own client accounts, and build systems from the ground up. The Senior IT Consultant will work directly with the IT Manager, manage a portfolio of client accounts at a high level, and collaborate with technicians on day-to-day execution. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on solving difficult problems, improving messy environments, and up-leveling the team around them. The role requires hands-on experience with various IT systems, including MDM, identity management, networking, and cloud platforms, with a focus on building and optimizing these systems rather than just maintaining them.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on IT experience in a fast-paced, multi-client environment
  • Experience building IAM workflows, configuring automations, and doing more than creating users and groups
  • MDM experience where you were the person who built it, not just the person who inherited it
  • Deep working knowledge of either Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, with the ability to go well beyond basic administration
  • Strong Mac and Windows proficiency; Mac-only or Windows-only comfort will be a gap
  • Networking fundamentals solid enough to troubleshoot and configure in a wide range of environments
  • Experience running client-facing calls and communicating confidently with non-technical stakeholders
  • A genuine ownership mindset: you identify problems, you solve them, and you do not wait to be told what to do
  • Comfort with ambiguity and an ability to figure things out when documentation is incomplete or the answer is not obvious

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working at an MSP, start-up, or multi-client environment
  • Familiarity with Azure AD / Entra ID and conditional access policies
  • SOC2 or HIPAA compliance exposure
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior technicians
  • Certifications such as Network+, Security+, or platform-specific credentials

Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of client accounts at a senior level, serving as the primary point of contact and running client syncs with confidence
  • Serve as the escalation point for our technicians on complex technical issues across MDM, identity, networking, and cloud platforms
  • Build and configure systems from scratch or lead significant infrastructure rebuilds, not just maintain what is already in place
  • Administer and optimize identity platforms, particularly Okta, including workflows and automations beyond basic user and group management
  • Lead MDM deployments and policy configuration across Jamf, Kandji, Intune, or similar, with the ability to build from the ground up
  • Manage both Mac and Windows environments comfortably, with deep expertise in at least one
  • Drive SaaS administration across Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and the broader client stack
  • Develop onboarding, offboarding, and automation workflows that create real operational leverage
  • Support networking infrastructure, troubleshooting, and standardization across client environments
  • Contribute to documentation, compliance readiness, and process building in a way that scales

Benefits

  • 100% covered health, dental and vision insurance for you, 50% for dependents
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • HSA/FSA eligibility
  • Access to a variety of mental health programs
  • 401(k) + 4% company matching
  • Annual Bonus Program
  • Flexible Time Off
  • Flexible certification and learning stipends and reimbursements
  • Biannual company retreats
  • Home internet and mobile reimbursement
  • Monthly meal stipend
  • Commuter benefits
