About The Position

The IT VDI Senior Consultant, a member of ContiTech IT Infrastructure, provides Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Services to ensure system maintenance in line with information security procedures and policies. This role also includes global Service Management for the VDI service. The position requires expert-level experience in Client and Server Operating Systems, Active Directory, VMware Sphere, and VMware Horizon for design, operation, and monitoring of projects. A broad IT support and design background covering Virtual Desktop Infrastructure experience is a prerequisite.

Requirements

Expert on Client Operating Systems (Win10 & 11 + Ubuntu)
Expert on Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (Vmware/Omnissa Horizon) and Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop
Advanced on IT Infrastructure Knowledge (Server, Storage, Network, PC Clients...)
Advanced on Scripting (e.g. PowerShell) and Automation (e.g. Vmware Orchestrator)
Experience and expected skills on expert level in Client and Server Operating System, Active Directory. VMware Sphere, VMware Horizon for design, operation, monitoring and projects
A broad IT support and design background covered the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure experience is a prerequisite

Responsibilities

3rd Level Support for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure based on Vmware (Omnissa) Horizon (Design, Operation, Maintenance, Monitoring, Testing and Troubleshooting) as well as Azure Virtual Desktop.
Support and Knowledge transfer to 2nd Level Support.
Development of scripts for automation and reporting via PowerShell and Vmware Orchestrator.
Change Management for VDI Service.
