About The Position

The Senior IT Applications Analyst is a business-facing role responsible for the configuration, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing support of various IT applications and systems. This role involves coordinating across business departments, gathering and implementing enhancement requests, acting as a Technical SME/Lead on initiatives, and being responsible for system documentation. The analyst will also configure reports, process IT Applications change control requests, and work with Validation and Quality departments to ensure IT Applications are implemented following a development lifecycle approach. Additionally, the role includes training other IT Applications team members, providing end-user support, troubleshooting application server issues, leading IT Applications systems security access and audit trail reviews, supporting day-to-day activities, and providing on-the-floor guidance. The Senior IT Applications Analyst will also prioritize daily work assignments for analysts to support application troubleshooting and maintain up-to-date training records.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Information Technology or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Enjoy both collaborating with a team as well as working independently to develop solutions to complex problems.
  • Enjoy driving a creative mindset and collaborating to design, implement, and modify code or configuration, or discover ways to simplify business processes.
  • Exhibit a degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness in an evolving and sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • Have strong analytical and organizational skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates across business departments and stakeholders, gathering and implementing enhancement requests across departments
  • Acts as a Technical SME/Lead on initiatives
  • Responsible for System documentation, including, converting User Requirement Specifications to a Detail Design Specification, writing Configuration Test Plans and summary reports.
  • Configures reports (tabular, trend and labels).
  • Processes IT Applications change control requests.
  • Works with Validation and Quality departments to ensure IT Applications are implemented following development life cycle approach.
  • Trains other IT Applications team members.
  • Coordinates with other IT Applications team members to implement the system in an efficient manner.
  • Provides end-user support for IT Applications including troubleshooting problems at the application server level.
  • Leads IT Applications systems security access and periodic audit trail reviews
  • Support day to day activities for IT Applications
  • Provides on-the-floor guidance and support to employees.
  • Prioritize the day-to-day work assignments for analysts within the IT department to support application troubleshooting activities
  • Maintain up to date training records for self and direct reports.
