Who We’re Looking For We are seeking a Senior IT Administrator to own and continuously improve our internal IT operations. This role is both hands-on and strategic, supporting day-to-day technology needs while helping shape how IT enables the organization’s growth. The ideal candidate is experienced, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership across systems, vendors, processes, and emerging technologies. This person brings strong technical judgment, clear communication skills, and a consultant mindset. They are energized by solving complex operational challenges, improving workflows, and ensuring employees have reliable, secure access to the tools they need to succeed.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional IT experience in enterprise or internal IT environments
- Experience managing or working closely with Managed Service Providers (MSPs)
- Strong proficiency in Windows system administration
- Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 / Office 365
- Strong understanding of IT operations, identity and access management, and cloud-based tools
- Experience supporting Salesforce and SharePoint environments
- Ability to identify gaps, assess risk, and recommend practical solutions
- Experience advising on equipment standards, licensing, and security practices
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Clear communicator able to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Interest in the renewable energy / solar industry
- Interest in participating in decision-making around AI utilization
Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day internal IT support and the user request ticket queue
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal technology issues
- Manage and hold accountable the Managed Service Provider (MSP) , stepping in when needed
- Lead onboarding and offboarding, including access provisioning and workflow improvements
- Administer user access across JDE , Microsoft 365 , Salesforce , and SharePoint
- Provide Windows system administration support across desktops and enterprise environments
- Support and maintain Salesforce and SharePoint environments, including permissions and configuration
- Oversee inventory accuracy, asset tracking, and equipment standards
- Recommend improvements related to hardware , licensing , security , and IT best practices
- Lead AI initiatives , including Copilot deployment , training, documentation, and policy development
- Partner with leadership on AI adoption , governance, and usage decisions
- Execute system, document, and user migration projects, including scripting and monitoring
- Build and run automation and deployment scripts for enterprise software rollouts
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams on IT strategy and continuous improvement
