About The Position

The Senior Investment Portfolio Control Consultant is part of the WIM Investment Solutions Center of Excellence (IS COE), within the FA Directed Portfolio Analysis (FADPA) team. FADPA monitors investment risk for advisors with discretion and fiduciary responsibilities and provides portfolio analytics support to advisors. The consultant works directly with Financial Advisors and collaborates with business leaders across Wells Fargo Advisors to identify, assess, manage, and mitigate current and emerging investment risk. The role uses sophisticated third-party tools and internal reporting to help advisors identify appropriate portfolio benchmarks. The consultant provides investment risk data and portfolio analytics, reviews investment strategies and benchmarks, identifies risks in client accounts, and proactively contacts advisors to help reduce those risks. The position also supports advisor training on analytic tools, firm resources, investment risk controls, and control-alert resolution. It assesses portfolio risk exposures, provides an aggregate view of portfolio risk, and serves as a subject matter expert in measuring and managing investment risk. The role consults on investment and business processes, controls, policies, procedures, and governance; produces recurring risk reports for senior management; and uses complex data sources while complying with data management and governance policies. The consultant may lead or partner on risk-monitoring projects and team initiatives, collaborate with peers and mid-level managers, and guide less experienced consultants.
