About The Position

PineBridge Investments, a MetLife Investment Management company, is seeking a Senior Investment Writer to join their Marketing team. This role will report to the Head of Thought Leadership and be instrumental in shaping and executing the company's thought leadership agenda. The MIM Marketing team collaborates with the Global Client Group to expand MIM's third-party asset management business, focusing on differentiated positioning, compelling insights, and client engagement. The position requires close collaboration with investment teams to uncover unique insights, product marketing for strategic positioning, and client marketing to tailor content to audience needs. The ideal candidate is a skilled writer and editor adept at translating complex investment terminology into clear, engaging narratives for institutional investors. Responsibilities include writing short-form articles, long-form white papers, and various other formats such as Q&As, infographics, chartbooks, and video scripts. Experience with public and private assets across multiple asset classes is essential. Beyond writing, the role involves contributing to content planning, brainstorming new ideas with various teams, and proactive communication. The company is also interested in candidates who are curious about leveraging AI for productivity and have an interest in SEO and AEO/GEO to enhance content reach.

Requirements

  • 7 or more years of prior work experience in an investment writing and/or investment content development role
  • Strong understanding of investment markets, particularly traditional fixed income, private credit, and equities, as well as experience writing about these areas
  • Demonstrated ability to write for institutional and intermediary audiences with clarity, credibility, and authority
  • Proven ability to translate complex investment ideas into compelling narratives across formats
  • Experience working closely and productively with investment professionals, sales teams, and marketing colleagues
  • Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail
  • Clear, lively, and readable writing style
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills across investment, marketing, and client teams
  • Intellectual curiosity and a proactive mindset; willingness to bring ideas, not just execute
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn about AI, SEO, and AEO/GEO.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Writing samples required

Nice To Haves

  • CFA and/or advanced degree in finance desirable, but not required
  • Journalism experience

  • Build credibility with investment teams as a trusted partner who can both capture and sharpen their insights.
  • Proactively identify timely and forward-looking themes.
  • Bring teams together to create content that covers themes that go across asset classes while also demonstrating our strengths.
  • Produce a wide range of content, including white papers, articles, Q&As, presentations, infographics, chartbooks, video scripts, and more.
  • Translate complex investment concepts and market dynamics into clear, engaging, and accessible narratives for institutional audiences.
  • Ensure all content aligns with MIM’s positioning and reinforces a consistent, differentiated voice across channels.
  • Collaborate with product and client marketing to align content to commercial priorities and audience needs.
  • Contribute to and help operationalize the editorial agenda and calendar, ensuring a steady flow of high-quality, relevant insights.
  • Elevate the overall quality of thought leadership by applying strong editorial standards.
  • Manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, balancing long-form research with shorter, time-sensitive content, delivering pieces on-deadline and communicating early and often about unforeseen delays or challenges.
