Senior Investment Data & Analytics Specialist

Allstate
$158,000 - $205,000Hybrid

About The Position

We’re looking for a sharp, intellectually curious problem-solver to join our Investment Analytics team. This role is built for someone who thrives in ambiguity, tackles complex questions head-on, and doesn’t stop when the data doesn’t immediately add up. This role requires a critical thinker with vision who can propose scalable solutions and integrate those with long-term roadmaps. You will often be on the leading edge of our development effort and your ideas will heavily inform our path forward. This role does not have direct management responsibilities, but this person will be influential in directing the efforts of our technology partners. You’ll sit at the intersection of investment strategy, research, analytics, and data, partnering directly with senior leaders to deliver insights that influence portfolio decisions. This is a front-office-facing, high-visibility role focused on building analytics capabilities.

Requirements

  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to solve ambiguous, multi-dimensional problems independently
  • Strong curiosity and willingness to challenge convention
  • Effective communicator to both technical and investment audiences
  • Ownership mentality and a commitment to shepherd delivery from start to finish
  • 10+ years in a hands-on investment analytics, data, or a related role
  • A history of building proprietary applications alongside vendor systems
  • Strong fixed income expertise (credit, municipals, rates)
  • Experience working with portfolio management and research teams
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and python
  • Familiarity with enterprise investment platforms such as Aladdin
  • Experience with data providers – Bloomberg, S&P, CreditScope, Intex, Octus, etc
  • Ability to enhance workflows by integrating AI tools

Nice To Haves

  • Insurance asset management experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with investment performance and attribution methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Own the entire delivery lifecycle, from design to production, for proprietary applications and processes that enhance how teams evaluate performance, risk, and portfolio positioning
  • Iterate with portfolio managers, analysts, and senior leaders to refine requirements and define outcomes for ongoing development.
  • Propose how new tools will be built, and construct prototypes to test, illustrate and experiment on analytics and workflows
  • Work closely with quant and technology teams to scale new analytics and tools to production applications with a long-term view
  • Own the delivery of complex analytical applications to provide clear, actionable insight for portfolio managers and research analysts
  • Redesign legacy processes to enforce proper governance and bring clarity to ambiguous, multi-system workflows
  • Integrate new data sources and vendors into investment workflows
  • Partner with other teams to troubleshoot analytical outputs across performance, risk, and portfolio analytics
  • Convert ad hoc analyses into repeatable, scalable solutions
  • Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise, providing guidance, and supporting their development

Benefits

  • Comprehensive technology setup, including a laptop, monitors, headset, keyboard, and mouse.
  • Monthly connectivity reimbursement for eligible remote employees.
  • Opportunity to shape the future of protection.
  • Support for causes that mean the most to you.
