As a key contributor to the Private Placements team’s efforts, the Senior Investment Analyst will focus primarily on supporting the process of evaluating and recommending privately placed debt transactions as well as monitoring portfolio securities across a variety of sectors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Up to 5 years of investment experience
  • Solid understanding of fixed income and financial concepts
  • Understanding of economics and capital markets
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
  • High energy, positive attitude, collaborative and team oriented
  • Composed and decisive under pressure or when challenged
  • Driven, self-motivated, and intellectually inquisitive
  • Creative, organized, responsive, and detail oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to build constructive and effective relationships
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Excel and other Office applications
  • General understanding of technology including databases and other data analysis applications
  • Proficiency with fixed income analytics applications

Responsibilities

  • Support Portfolio Manager primarily in research and trading activities including:
  • Collaborate with the portfolio manager in the identification of executable and suitable market opportunities
  • Support transaction analysis including credit, collateral, borrower, structure, deal documents and relative value scenario analysis
  • Assist in portfolio surveillance including identification of emerging investment risks, and development and implementation of successful risk mitigation actions
  • Portfolio performance attribution analysis
  • Perform ad-hoc projects, reporting and analysis as requested
  • Collaborate with other departments regarding relative value, sector analysis, asset class dynamics and portfolio
  • Create streamlined reporting and produce portfolio reports as needed
  • Assist with data management and maintenance
  • May perform other duties as assigned
