As a Senior Investment Advisor within PNC's Institutional Asset Management organization, you will be based in Chicago, IL. Reporting to the Institutional Asset Management Market Managing Director, the Senior Investment Advisor will deliver OCIO (Outsourced Chief Investment Officer) solutions to our growing institutional client base of non-profit organizations, defined benefit pension plans, higher education institutions, and corporations across the market. Responsibilities include relationship management with existing clients, managing investment portfolios in accordance with the investment policy statement, while also developing and implementing strategic and tactical asset allocation changes based on each client’s unique needs. The ideal candidate has passion for global markets with an extensive background serving institutional investment clients with liability-focused portfolios, alternative investment strategies, and institutional level investment vehicles. A proven history of presenting firm views, resources, and capabilities to advanced investment committees (of all sizes) is critical. The Senior Investment Advisor should be comfortable serving as the primary local investment resource who will frequently represent PNC Institutional Asset Management to current and prospective clients. This includes interacting with C-suite executives and business leaders, both internally and externally in marketplace. The Senior Investment Advisor is expected to play a critical role in supporting the development of new business opportunities and collaborating with team members to help deliver investment solutions and services to prospective clients.   • Managing Risk - Assessing and effectively managing all of the risks associated with their business objectives and activities to ensure they adhere to and support PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
  • University / college degree.
  • Industry relevant experience is typically 8+ years.
  • Bachelors degree.

Nice To Haves

  • CFA® designation is preferred.
  • Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Manages accounts in accordance with investment objectives that have been developed with the client.
  • May provide specialized advice and partnership with specialists supporting the portfolio investment strategy, objectives, and health of the strategy.
  • Responsible for delivering the PNC investment experience to clients, providing actionable advice, market insight and reporting on investment results.
  • Maintains expert level knowledge of complex investment and asset management strategies.
  • Responsible for maintaining and growing assets under management.
  • Supports and may lead the sales efforts of the business through the introduction and expansion of financial services to the client.
  • Executes risk management practices through the adherence to PNC's policies and procedures.
  • May help provide direction to investment professionals.
