About The Position

GEICO is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Special Investigations Unit (SIU) team. The SIU Internal Investigator is responsible for reviewing and validating referred claims and policies through phone-based and online investigations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to document investigative findings clearly and accurately for review by the appropriate business partners. Qualified candidates must have prior SIU, law enforcement, or extensive claims experience. A medical investigative background is strongly preferred, and a college degree or active pursuit of a degree is preferred. The ideal candidate will be disciplined, self-motivated, and able to work independently while managing challenging customer interactions by phone and online. Strong computer skills, sound investigative judgment, and the ability to prepare detailed investigative reports in a timely and efficient manner are required. This position follows a hybrid work schedule. The selected candidate will report to the Fredericksburg, Virginia office two days per week and work remotely for the remaining three days of the work week.
