Arcadis Canada is seeking an experienced Environmental Field Technician for its Resilience team in Atlantic Canada. This role supports various active remediation and environmental projects within the Global Business Area of Resilience. The successful candidate will coordinate and execute project activities assigned by Project Managers, focusing on environmental projects, real-time instrumentation, oversight of remediation/treatment system installations, and compliance sampling. A strong understanding of instrumentation, along with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment, is essential.

Requirements

Technical Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Earth Sciences, or a related field
A designation of C. Tech or C.E.T is required
8-10 years of experience in environmental fieldwork
Experience with FCSAP, PFAS
Completion of Contaminated Sites Field Work at Government Sites
Mechanically inclined
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication, interpersonal, and writing skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to travel to sites around Atlantic Canada approximately 85% of the time

Responsibilities

Supporting environmental site assessments, risk assessments, and remediation projects under the direction and guidance of a Project Manager
Conducting site visits and inspections
Monitoring and supervising drilling and/or remediation activities
Preparing field notes
Collecting soil and groundwater samples
Supporting data tabulation
Writing environmental reports
Demonstrating knowledge of real-time instrumentation systems
Drilling supervision and well construction
Groundwater and surface water sample collection programs
