Beck is looking for a qualified Senior Interior Design Coordinator with 4-10 years of experience to join our Atlanta office. In this role, you will work highly collaboratively with the project team towards the overall completion of a project, carrying out the design intent through your creative expertise, technical strategy, and strong leadership to help shape the interior environment and exceed client goals. Beck is one of the most advanced users of 3D modeling tools in the design process, so you should be comfortable using Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and more.

Requirements

  • An accredited degree in interior design or architecture.
  • NCIDQ Certification
  • 4-10 years of relevant work experience in commercial or higher education interior design.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to interior design.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Target Value Design and ability to collaborate with Preconstruction Team.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design principles.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates on all phases of the design process including programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration
  • Collaborates with architects, project managers, and other designers to develop interior design concepts while incorporating project requirements, standards, and a strong understanding of the detail execution.
  • Develops innovative interior design concepts that align with client goals, the experiential vision, project scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Generates renderings and visual presentations that clearly communicates the design concepts to the client and executes finish plans, material selections, furniture coordination, and interior details needed for construction.
  • Leads and participates in internal and client presentations, effectively communicating design concepts, recommendations, and project progress.
  • Effectively collaborates on implementation documentation and conveys design requirements and solutions to the broader design and construction team.
  • Participates in the selection and presentation of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), color palettes and lighting to incorporate responsible, sustainable, and design-forward practices.
  • Incorporates Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
  • Coordinates with consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, fabricators, vendors, and contractors to ensure accurate integration of design requirements throughout the project.
  • Conducts quality control reviews of design and construction documentation to ensure compliance with project standards, building code, and design intent.
  • Coordinates with project team on review and approval of final interior and exterior programming, design development documents, construction documents, furnishings selections and purchases, RFIs and submittals.
  • Collaborates with preconstruction and construction teams to align design solutions with project budgets, schedules, constructability, and client expectations while preserving the overall design vision.
  • Mentors and provides guidance to junior interior designers by supporting their technical development, design thinking, project coordination, and professional growth.
