About The Position

SAIC is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Integration Engineer to join their team. In this role, the engineer will play a critical role in verifying, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging software used to control and monitor Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs). The work will involve both front-end and back-end service activities, in addition to supporting both development and operational environments. The position will require up to 10% of travel for onsite installation or field support activities. This is a Hybrid/Remote role in San Diego, CA. Candidates must be local to the area to onsite a minimum of.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external teams to debug, troubleshoot, and verify the software product's functional capabilities.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites using Python and Selenium to ensure software integrity.
• Design and develop simulation programs using Python to validate software performance and functionality.
• Deploy and manage service containers using Docker on RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) systems.
• Automate processes and tooling using Bash scripting.
• Create and maintain robust software documentation for installation, operations, and troubleshooting activities.
• Participate in hands-on integration and testing, both remotely and on-site, to diagnose incidents and perform root cause analysis.
