About The Position

Mortenson is seeking a Senior Integrated Construction Manager to provide input and leadership to the integrated construction and virtual design and construction process. The role leads integrated delivery resources and services across project programming, conceptual design, preconstruction, modeling, and construction coordination. It also contributes to technology research and development, internal training, conference participation, business development support, and team performance. The position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan. Visa sponsorship is not offered; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employment visa sponsorship.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or Computer Aided Design.
At least 10 years of progressively challenging commercial construction management experience or equivalent.
Experience facilitating meetings and training events.
Knowledge of construction costs and financial risks.
Experience managing teams, people, and processes.
Current driver’s license.
Basic understanding of A/E business and client business interests.
High competency with advanced 2D and 3D software, with 2D and 3D AutoCAD as a minimum.
Experience with Navisworks, Primavera, and 3DS Max or Viz.
High competency with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Synchro 4D, Trimble SketchUp, and Bluebeam Revu.
Knowledge of construction and A/E contract language.

Nice To Haves

Licensure in a professional field is preferred.
Animation experience is a plus.
Proficiency with Autodesk Architectural Desktop (ADT), Autodesk Building Systems (ABS), Autodesk Revit, or Graphisoft Constructor.
Proficiency with Autodesk BIM 360 Field and Glue, 3DS Max, Civil 3D, Point Layout, Faro Scene, Google Earth Pro, and Adobe Suite applications such as Photoshop and InDesign.
Familiarity with game engine technologies (Unity, Unreal, Lumion 3D), parametric analysis solutions (Dynamo, Grasshopper, Solibri), basic key frame animation, 2D/3D rendering, and 2D/3D post production.

Responsibilities

Provide input to project programming and conceptual design activities.
Coordinate design team members and preconstruction services, including estimating, scheduling, project planning, constructability, and site utilization.
Manage integrated delivery team resources.
Oversee preparation of models for design, construction, and facilities management.
Oversee production and management of 3D models and implement them during construction.
Establish project scope of work.
Establish schedules and deliverables for integrated delivery services.
Oversee construction coordination.
Communicate 4D- and 5D-generated information to the project team.
Participate in research and development of new technologies.
Lead and serve as a subject matter expert for internal training.
Attend, participate in, and present at conferences.
Assist with evaluation of team members and potential team members.
Provide support to the Business Development team.
Build effective working relationships with people of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
Lead by example, coach and provide feedback to team members, and manage performance.
