Our attorneys work from home and handle in-person appearances and trials in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metro area as required. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Licensed to practice Law in applicable states required upon hire.
  • Seven years of litigation experience required.
  • Insurance defense, personal injury, and/or jury trial experience required.
  • Public speaking, ability to function and handle high case loads in adversarial or confrontational situations, driving.

Nice To Haves

  • First and second chair trial experience in bodily injury litigation strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in all areas of insurance defense practice, handling cases that are primarily moderate to high complexity and exposure and/or involve unique insurance defense issues.
  • Manage all phases of cases from intake to resolution.
  • Litigate moderate to high complexity and exposure cases and/or cases involving unique legal or procedural issues and performs duties necessary from intake to trial and/or settlement.
  • Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs.
  • Act as the lead attorney at hearings, conferences, interviews, mediations, arbitrations, and/or trials.
  • Develop strategies and arguments to thoroughly prepare for trial.
  • Utilize knowledge of legal precedents to analyze the probable outcomes of a case.
  • Identify the strengths and weaknesses of approaches to a case.
  • Perform or ensure completion of any other tasks or duties necessary for the proper representation of clients.
  • Consult with Claims Executive team and render legal strategy recommendations regarding the legal aspects of the handling of personal injury claims.
  • Provide guidance to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Interpret applicable industry laws, rulings and regulations.
  • Functionally supervise attorneys who are assisting in the handling of cases as development opportunities.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship with the autonomy to learn.
