AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Senior Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineer to join our Mining Project Delivery team in support of mining projects. This role provides project leadership in instrumentation & controls, engineering and design, investigations, and analysis on multi-disciplinary mining projects. The engineer will serve as lead I&C engineer or discipline lead on mid-size to large projects, coordinating and directing staff on designs, specifications, drawings, reports, and calculations. Responsibilities include working with clients to provide I&C engineering and design solutions, developing project proposals, and supporting the growth of the Mining practice. The role also involves providing direction and mentoring to technical staff, writing technical scopes of work, specifications, P&IDs, data sheets, architecture drawings, functional descriptions, instrument indexes, loop sheets, interconnection diagrams, instrument location plans, and I/O lists and cable schedules. Specialized technical input for studies and design efforts, presenting complex technical solutions to clients, and performing independent technical reviews are also key aspects. Equipment bid package development, analysis, purchase order management, and vendor drawing review are included, as is serving as the primary point of contact with the client and developing client relationships. The engineer will plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of engineering projects, focusing on I&C designs for mine projects, and provide advice and consultation on engineering matters, including compliance with government laws and regulations.
