About The Position

In this role, you will have the opportunity to create relationships with clients in the Rocky Mountain region with emphasis on the Denver and Colorado Springs area. You will act as a liaison between the local design team, client and design center teams. You will manage and coordinate marketing, planning, design and construction phase services for automation, instrumentation, control and SCADA projects for water and wastewater utilities. You will lead execution and take overall responsibility for I&C design projects as well as coordinate I&C engineering efforts for large multi-discipline projects. You will provide local interface by attending client and contractor meetings, performing field investigations, attending factory acceptance testing and helping to resolve I&C client and construction issues. You will monitor and control project schedule and budgets and assist with proposals and presentations in response to sales opportunities. You will support multiple Water and Wastewater and other Market Sector projects with advanced engineering solutions and technical challenges.

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.
  • Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in Colorado or must be obtained within one year.

Nice To Haves

  • 11 years’ experience in instrumentation, control, and automation design consulting
  • 7 years’ experience in water/wastewater industry
  • Experience in project management and business development.
  • Experienced with control system component selection and application for distributed control or SCADA systems such as Allen-Bradley PLC, Modicon Schneider Electric, Emerson Ovation, ABB 800xA, or similar.
  • Experienced with network diagrams, instrument device schedules, Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID), instrument schedules, input/output lists, instrument installation details, instrument loop diagrams, control narratives and technical specifications.
  • Experienced with coordinating multi-discipline workflow process to meet budget and schedule goals.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving, leadership and team management abilities.
