•$84,762 - $129,498

About The Position

The Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer will work in Sargent & Lundy's Nuclear Power Group on process controls engineering projects supporting the digitization of existing power plants and the construction of new nuclear power plants, including small modular reactors. The work includes digital control systems such as PLCs, DCS, touchscreen displays, network switches, and other control systems; functional requirement and procurement specifications; instrumentation replacement evaluations and nuclear modification packages; and control systems for plant equipment and reactors. The engineer will develop P&IDs and System Design Descriptions, attend client meetings, conduct site walkdowns, and help ensure clients are satisfied with project work. The role also includes mentoring less experienced nuclear instrumentation and controls design engineers and supporting station outage activities as required. The position requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program and at least five years of process control systems design engineering experience. Nuclear power plant control-system design experience is preferred.
