In this role, you are responsible for consulting with business stakeholders, analyzing learning and performance needs, and designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating effective learning solutions that improve team member capability, support compliance expectations, and enable business performance. This role partners closely with subject matter experts, Quality, Operations, HR, HSE, site/function leaders, Learning & Development colleagues, and other stakeholders to create engaging, accurate, scalable, and measurable learning experiences. Solutions may include instructor-led training, virtual instructor-led training, eLearning, blended learning, microlearning, job aids, assessments, simulations, train-the-trainer materials, onboarding resources, and performance support tools. The Instructional Designer applies adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, learning technologies, accessibility standards, and evaluation practices to ensure learning solutions are aligned to business needs, role expectations, regulatory requirements, and West standards. This role also supports the continued development of learning design standards, templates, processes, and best practices as West builds this capability across the organization. The ideal candidate brings strong learning design expertise, stakeholder consultation skills, content development capability, project management discipline, and the ability to translate complex technical, operational, compliance, or business information into clear and practical learning experiences.
