About The Position

Ferguson is seeking a Sr Installation Manager to join our operations team! General areas of responsibility include providing leadership for the organization's customer-facing associates and branch functions. This includes providing competent installation capacity to support the sales of finished goods and ensuring that existing program tools and processes are consistently implemented to maintain program integrity.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience leading a team of installers & scheduling to include interacting with customers is preferred.
  • Experience working with third party sub-contractors
  • Demonstrated experience using standard hand tools, electric tools and motorized and/or manual lifting devices
  • Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices
  • Attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize workload appropriately in order to balance multiple demands and meet timelines as required

Responsibilities

  • Direct reports: 1 Scheduling Manager, 2 Installation Managers, and 8 installers.
  • Manage 5 to 10 additional 3rd party Subcontractors teams.
  • Collaborate sales calls and showroom consultations with outside sales to secure new business
  • Manage financial aspects of install/scheduling to meet company goals.
  • Work across multiple KOB’s – appliances, cabinets, lighting, DIV10 etc.
  • Manages vendor relations regarding pricing and products
  • Lead field supervisor(s) and office staff, and delivery and installation coordinators
  • Manages outside contractors if project activities are sub-contracted
  • Consult with associates and customers at job sites
  • Perform quality checks on the installation work to ensure proper installation practices are used
  • Verify that all necessary paperwork and documentation related to the installation is completed and accurate
  • Manage installation related issues and provide solutions
  • Plan, schedule, or coordinate project activities to meet deadlines
  • Direct or coordinate activities of project personnel
  • Work with branch trainer and manager(s) to ensure delivery and install processes are maintained
  • Participate in leadership meetings and represent associate concerns, policies and guidelines to the management team
  • Conduct regular associate meetings
  • Represent the organization to customers, associates and leadership as needed
  • Recruit, hire and train new installers.
