About The Position

CGI is seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Inside Sales professional – Eastern Region to support growth of our ERP and SaaS solutions across the State, Local, and Education (SLED) market. This role is ideal for a sales professional with a strong hunter mentality who can identify new prospects, generate qualified opportunities, build pipeline, develop client relationships, and advance opportunities through the sales lifecycle. The successful candidate will have experience selling or developing opportunities for ERP, SaaS, enterprise software, cloud solutions, or IT consulting services, along with an understanding of the SLED market and government buying environment. About CGI Advantage CGI Advantage is an ERP solution designed specifically for government, helping public sector organizations modernize critical functions including Financial Management, Budgeting, Procurement, Human Resources, Payroll, and Grants Management. Location & Work Model : This position supports the Eastern U.S. Region and can be performed from an appropriate CGI U.S. office. Travel of up to 25% may be required based on business and client needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Marketing, Public Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
  • 7+ years of experience in inside sales, business development, enterprise software, SaaS, ERP, or IT consulting sales, preferably within the public sector.
  • Demonstrated experience selling to or developing opportunities within State, Local, and/or Education (SLED) organizations.
  • Proven ability to generate net-new business, qualified leads, and sales pipeline through proactive prospecting and account development.
  • Experience selling or positioning ERP, SaaS, cloud, enterprise applications, systems integration, managed services, or digital transformation solutions.
  • Knowledge of ERP platforms such as CGI Advantage, Oracle, SAP, Workday, PeopleSoft, or comparable enterprise solutions is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of the government sales and procurement lifecycle, including budgeting, RFIs/RFPs, competitive procurements, and long sales cycles.
  • Strong prospecting, discovery, qualification, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to engage senior government stakeholders and communicate technology solutions in clear business terms.
  • Experience using CRM platforms to manage prospecting activity, opportunities, pipeline, and follow-up.
  • Ability to work effectively with sales, solution engineering, capture, proposal, marketing, and delivery teams.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% based on business needs.

  • Existing relationships or familiarity with Eastern U.S. SLED organizations is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute targeted inside sales strategies to generate new ERP and SaaS opportunities across the Eastern SLED market.
  • Conduct proactive prospecting through phone, email, digital outreach, networking, referrals, events, and targeted account campaigns.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop net-new business opportunities within State, Local, and Education organizations.
  • Research target accounts, government budgets, modernization initiatives, procurement activity, technology environments, and key decision-makers.
  • Build relationships with public sector stakeholders, including CIOs, CFOs, CHROs, Finance, Procurement, and IT leaders.
  • Conduct initial discovery and qualification conversations to understand client needs, priorities, timelines, budgets, and procurement strategies.
  • Position CGI's ERP, SaaS, cloud, and enterprise transformation capabilities based on client needs and modernization priorities.
  • Drive and support the sales lifecycle from lead generation and qualification through discovery, demonstrations, RFP/proposal activities, negotiations, and close.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership, solution engineering, capture, proposal, marketing, and delivery teams to advance opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline through consistent prospecting, account development, and follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, including contacts, sales activities, opportunities, pipeline stages, and next steps.
  • Monitor SLED market trends, procurement forecasts, RFP activity, ERP modernization initiatives, and competitive developments.
  • Represent CGI at selected government technology conferences, industry events, webinars, and networking forums.
