Senior Inpatient Case Manager- Registered Nurse
About The Position
Sentara Careplex Hospital is hiring an experienced Senior Inpatient Case Manager RN to focus on complex cases. This is a full-time position with day shifts, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with on-call commitments including holidays and weekends. The role involves assuming responsibility, accountability, and leadership for the daily operations of inpatient case management, including coordination of work, quality, and service. The Senior Inpatient Case Manager RN will assist the supervisor for the assigned site/function, participate in team work activities, provide case management services as needed, maintain fiscal accountability, and provide feedback on hiring and evaluations of personnel. This position functions in a hospital setting only.
Requirements
- RN-Bachelor's Degree OR RN-Master's Degree OR RN-Doctorate Degree
- Registered Nurse (RN) License - Compact/Multi-State License OR Registered Nurse (RN) License - Single State – Virginia
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA)
- 3 years of nursing experience
- Case Management (ACM, CCM, CCCTM, CMAC or CMGT-BC) certification required within one year of eligibility
Nice To Haves
- 3 years Case Management experience
- Healthcare experience refers to the care delivered in one of the following settings: hospital or an acute care facility
Responsibilities
- Assumes responsibility, accountability and leadership for the daily operations including coordination of work, quality, and service for inpatient case management.
- Assist supervisor for assigned site/function.
- Participates in the work activities of assigned teams and provides case management services as needed.
- Maintains fiscal accountability for departmental activities.
- Provides feedback on hiring and evaluations of personnel.
- Functions in one of the following practice settings: Hospitals only
