Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED OR 4+ years of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Texas
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB)
- 1+ years of consistent sterile compounding experience
- Ability to work onsite at 4620 S Sam Houston Parkway Houston, TX, Monday through Friday 8-hour shifts between 7 AM – 7 PM
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Certification program (CPhT)
- Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience
- Experience working as an Infusion Pharmacy Technician
- Certified Compounded Sterile Preparations Technician (CSPT) Certification
Responsibilities
- Perform sterile compounding according to company policy and regulations including USP 797 and USP 800
- Maintain competency related to performing sterile compounding
- Participate in medication management for pharmacy compounding, including medication and supply ordering, receiving, and maintenance
- Troubleshoot equipment, hardware, and software issues relating to compounding
- Participate in completing and documenting all cleaning and monitoring activities identified for areas related to sterile compounding including daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning requirements
- Work within a team to triage and respond to all compounding needs promptly
- Maintain ongoing didactic and practical training related to sterile compounding
