About The Position

Ask Yourself: Do you want your technical expertise to shape real business outcomes — helping organizations run more securely, efficiently, and confidently? Do you thrive going deep on complex problems, then turning around and elevating the engineers around you? Are you ready to step into a senior role at a company where strong engineers move into architecture and leadership — not just laterally? If you answered yes, SSR is worth a serious look. Join a 30-year-established MSP where engineers are the business, not a support function. You'll own client environments, lead infrastructure projects, and act as a trusted advisor to 170+ small and mid-sized businesses, 3,000+ end users, and 2,000+ systems across Wisconsin. If you want a seat at the table where solutions are actually designed, this is that role. Our organization operates through five core divisions: Procurement, Operational Excellence (OpEx), Managed Services, Applications & Analytics, and Infrastructure & Security Engineering — allowing our engineers to work on a wide range of technologies while helping clients modernize and secure their environments. At SSR, we establish industry best practices, implement proven solutions, and help transform how businesses use technology. Our culture is guided by our core values — Client Driven, Elevate Others, Do the Right Thing, Thirst for Knowledge, and Professionalism. Job Summary SSR Total IT is seeking an exceptionally experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients and a key contributor within our Infrastructure & Security Engineering division. Our engineers are client-facing and play a direct role in the success of the company. This is not a cost-center IT role — our engineering team is the profit center of the organization, and you will have a voice in how solutions are designed, delivered, and improved. In this role, you’ll be part of a collaborative engineering team of 10+ engineers who actively share knowledge, support each other, and continuously improve how we deliver for our clients. You will own the stability, security, and long-term improvement of client environments including networks, servers, cloud platforms, and security systems. You will troubleshoot complex issues, lead infrastructure projects, and work directly with clients to align technology with business needs.
