About The Position

JTEC Consulting LLC is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to manage, optimize, and maintain critical data center infrastructure supporting mission-critical operations. The role covers end-to-end data center operations and aims to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability across enterprise server, network, and storage systems. The engineer will lead hands-on deployments, rack installations, copper and fiber interconnect work, and power and cooling capacity optimization. The position is 100% on-site in Chantilly, Virginia. Relocation support for candidates outside the commuting area will be considered. A current TS/SCI clearance with an agency-specific polygraph is strictly required. U.S. citizenship is required. The engineer will configure and maintain Cisco network equipment and HPE and Dell servers; oversee rack installations, hardware refreshes, replacements, and preventive maintenance; and produce auditable architecture documentation, rack elevations, network topologies, SOPs, runbooks, and asset records. The role also includes planning power, rack-space, and cooling capacity; designing and maintaining structured fiber and copper cabling; and administering Dell, HPE, and PureStorage NAS platforms and related SAN fabrics. Storage monitoring includes utilization, performance tiers, and latency, with attention to availability, data integrity, and disaster recovery readiness. Candidates should have 10 or more years of infrastructure engineering experience, including advanced architectural design of scalable, distributed systems, and at least five years of hands-on responsibility in mission-critical enterprise or colocation data centers. A bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline is requested, though equivalent years of direct experience may be considered instead. Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed for collaborative, cross-functional work.
