Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Client Facing)
About The Position
Unique AI is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with strong communication skills who enjoys collaborating with customers and working on customer premises. The role involves installing and configuring Unique’s products at client sites on Kubernetes clusters, primarily Azure AKS and AWS, with some on-premises deployments. Working with financial-services customers, the engineer will assess infrastructure and design tailored solutions for deploying Unique’s engineering artefacts. The engineer will also work closely with internal engineering teams to understand product specifications and deployment requirements, design customized solutions, and build automated deployment processes to improve efficiency and client satisfaction. The position is based in New York City and requires regular work in NYC offices, a valid work permit, and occasional travel to client sites within the United States. The work arrangement is hybrid, with flexibility for remote days.
Requirements
- Strong expertise and extensive hands-on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Azure or AWS.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working collaboratively with customers, including on customer premises.
- Ability to present to technical and business stakeholders, run discovery workshops, and translate infrastructure decisions into business terms.
- Ability to manage expectations and escalations during client engagements and communicate clearly through ambiguity.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- At least 7 years of technical experience in software engineering, service engineering, or systems engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Fluent in English.
- Valid work permit.
- Willingness to visit client sites within the United States occasionally and to work regularly in NYC offices.
Responsibilities
