About The Position

Mission Bridge Partners is teaming up with a growing technology services company seeking multiple Senior Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Engineers to support a federal program focused on building reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) capabilities across complex cloud and enterprise environments. This is not a traditional DevOps role centered on one-off deployments. The focus is on designing, building, testing, and maintaining reusable Terraform modules and shared automation patterns that can be adopted across multiple teams and environments. You’ll help create scalable IaC capabilities that improve infrastructure delivery, security, compliance, consistency, and maintainability across cloud, hybrid-cloud, container, virtualization, and enterprise environments. This position is contingent upon program award. We are actively interviewing qualified candidates and expect to move quickly as the program progresses.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure automation, SRE, systems engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, including developing reusable modules, shared libraries, or module catalogs used across multiple teams, applications, projects, or environments.
Experience automating infrastructure across more than one ecosystem, such as cloud, hybrid cloud, containers, virtualization, or shared enterprise platforms.
Experience with Terraform module testing, semantic versioning, registry publication, input validation, documentation, policy/compliance checks, and CI/CD integration.
Strong understanding of Terraform modules, variables, outputs, providers, dependencies, remote state, environment separation, version control, and change management.
Experience with Git-based development practices, including pull requests, peer reviews, branching/versioning strategies, and automated pipelines.
Production experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Strong technical judgment and the ability to independently deliver high-quality work in a remote environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
An industry-recognized IaC, configuration-as-code, DevOps, or cloud certification, plus one or more relevant cloud-platform certifications.
Be a U.S. citizen based on applicable customer, contract, and/or system-access requirements.
Currently reside and work within the United States.
Be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Ansible or similar configuration-management/orchestration technologies.
Kubernetes, OpenShift, VMware, Nutanix, private cloud, enterprise networking, IAM, observability, or shared platform services.
Policy-as-code, cloud governance, cloud security, or automated infrastructure-control validation.
Experience supporting federal, defense, healthcare, financial services, public-sector, or other highly regulated environments.
Familiarity with NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP, RMF, Zero Trust, CIS Benchmarks, STIGs, or similar security and compliance frameworks.
Active/current U.S. Government security clearance, Public Trust, or favorable suitability determination is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, version, publish, document, and maintain reusable Terraform modules and module catalogs.
Build shared IaC patterns supporting cloud, hybrid-cloud, containers, virtualization, networking, security, identity, observability, and enterprise platforms.
Establish standards for module interfaces, variables, outputs, input validation, semantic versioning, compatibility, releases, and lifecycle management.
Implement automated module testing, security and configuration validation, policy/compliance checks, and CI/CD quality gates.
Publish and maintain Terraform modules through registries, artifact repositories, shared libraries, or similar distribution mechanisms.
Embed security, governance, encryption, logging, monitoring, tagging, least-privilege access, and auditability into reusable infrastructure patterns.
Partner with engineers, architects, security teams, operations teams, and customer stakeholders to translate infrastructure requirements into scalable automation.
Develop technical documentation, implementation examples, reference patterns, and troubleshooting guidance that enable other engineering teams to confidently consume the modules.
