About The Position

As a Senior Architect on Insight’s Client Solutions Services team, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through the evaluation, design, implementation, and optimization of infrastructure solutions. The role calls for architectural expertise across Cisco networking, Citrix VDI, Microsoft Azure, and NetApp storage, as well as broad knowledge of data center networking, cloud, compute, storage, and related infrastructure technologies. You will combine technical architecture expertise, business insight, and consulting skills to help clients achieve their strategic goals.

This is a remote opportunity requiring approximately 25% travel to the client site in Austin, Texas. The salary is up to $180,000 per year depending on experience, with a 15% quarterly bonus structure and full benefits.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience working with solutions in data center networking and infrastructure.
• At least 10 years of experience in consulting and customer-facing roles.
• Strong architecture-level experience designing and advising on enterprise Cisco networking solutions.
• Strong architecture-level experience with Citrix VDI environments and solutions.
• Strong architecture-level experience designing and advising on Microsoft Azure cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions.
• Strong architecture-level experience with NetApp enterprise storage solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to assess existing environments and develop high-level architectures, technology strategies, roadmaps, and recommendations across Cisco, Citrix VDI, Azure, and NetApp.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure products, services, and solutions, including their integration with other technologies and platforms.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and passion for driving business growth and client success.
• Ability to influence stakeholders, present to executive audiences, and communicate complex concepts effectively.
• Proficiency in developing compelling presentations and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, including the ability to handle complex and ambiguous situations.

• Relevant intermediate or advanced certifications in infrastructure technology domains.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on infrastructure solutions aligned with their business objectives and understand their goals, challenges, and technical requirements.
• Support Insight sales teams in understanding customers’ business goals, challenges, and requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and best practices on solutions, products, and services.
• Provide architecture-level expertise across Cisco, Citrix VDI, Microsoft Azure, and NetApp, including evaluating current environments and developing future-state architectures.
• Position solution architectures and Insight services, including workshops, proofs of concept, pilots, strategy and roadmap development, deployment, and integration services.
• Participate in creating, reviewing, and revising Statements of Work and supporting scoping documents.
• Lead the creation of high-level solution architectures and roadmaps aligned with customer objectives.
• Participate in or lead client-facing advisory workshops and assessments.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, sales, services, and advisory teammates to develop and deliver infrastructure solutions.
• Develop integrated infrastructure architectures incorporating Cisco networking, Citrix VDI, Microsoft Azure, and NetApp technologies based on client requirements.
• Design and oversee implementation of customer solutions, and provide feedback to optimize their quality, performance, and scalability.
• Provide oversight to follow-on professional services engagements.
• Complete client deliverables and supporting documents.
• Provide feedback on client needs, challenges, and opportunities.
• Stay current on relevant technologies, trends, and innovations, and maintain applicable certifications and accreditations.
• Research and recommend strategic business development plans that can significantly affect Insight’s business.
