Test Solutions Engineering includes all the engineering disciplines responsible for systems design & test with all Raytheon products. Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for testing including test requirements, test system design, flight simulations, hardware-in-the-loop, computer-in-the-loop, advanced engineering prototyping technology, flight operations for manned and unmanned vehicles, environmental testing, environmental characterization and engineering laboratory management. We are hands-on, designing the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world. As part of the Test Environment Support Administration (TESA) team, you be working with both leading-edge technologies and legacy systems to support multiple products and programs throughout Raytheon. You will provide Test Equipment (TE) integration, security consultation, troubleshooting, sustainment, and compliance with the ultimate responsibility to maintain test integrity and the availability for our test systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum of eight (5) years of relevant experience OR an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years of Linux systems administration experience specifically RHEL and/or CentOS
  • Experience administering Red Hat Satellite (or Red Hat Satellite/Katello equivalent) for patching, provisioning, and content lifecycle management
  • Package management (yum/dnf, apt) and repository management
  • Experience with user account management, software installation and or technical customer support
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.​ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance​. Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date

Nice To Haves

  • DoD 8570.01m IAT II certified credentials (Sec+, CISM, etc.)
  • Red Hat certifications (RHCSA/RHCE) or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Systems Engineer experience managing Operational Technology (OT) and/or test systems in a production environment
  • Experience with Windows and Linux (desktop and server), including networking administration and user/permissions management such as AD integration, sudo, SELinux/AppArmor basics
  • Experience with backup/recovery procedures, baseline hardening such as CIS benchmarks, STIGs, and vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus, OpenSCAP
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible), including writing and maintaining playbooks for patch management and routine configuration

Responsibilities

  • Provide Cybersecurity compliance guidance to engineering for production and procurement of TE
  • Support Flight Test capabilities and processes for Raytheon test systems
  • Develop Cybersecurity Compliant TE (Linux, IOS, Windows)
  • Install software packages/updates to enhance operations and testing of production hardware
  • Troubleshoot production and development TE to ensure connectivity, functionality, compliance, and test integrity
  • Collaborate with Digital Technologies to integrate TE into controlled networks or enterprises
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity to ensure TE compliance (using tools such as Nessus, Splunk, Ivanti, and locally procured software
  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure changes do not affect the availability or test integrity on the TE
  • Support all reviews required prior for implementation of any changes to the TE
  • Contribute to automation of patch management and routine configuration tasks using configuration management tooling (e.g., Ansible)
