About The Position

Senior Information Security & Zero Trust Advisor (Functional Specialist 3) is a senior information security professional who evaluates complex federal enterprise environments and leads strategic improvements in information protection, data security, privacy, identity and zero trust. Working with senior executives and hands-on technology practitioners, this role converts mission and security objectives into practical recommendations and implementation approaches, with relevance to U.S. Air Force environments.

  • Information protection, data security and privacy
  • Executive stakeholder engagement and strategic advisory
  • Clear technical and nontechnical communication
  • Federal and U.S. Air Force mission-environment awareness
  • Data analytics and evidence-based decision-making
  • Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • Seven years of relevant functional experience. A master’s degree in a business or technical field may substitute for two years of experience.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing enterprise environments from an information security perspective.
  • Experience working with executive and technical stakeholders.
  • Must possess a current Secret security clearance at the time of application.
  • Clearance eligibility must be verifiable through the applicable U.S. Government personnel security system.
  • Must maintain Secret clearance eligibility throughout employment and comply with all security, access and reporting requirements associated with the role.

Nice To Haves

  • CISSP certification or another relevant certification, such as CCSP, CAP, CEH or CISA.
  • Identity and Access Management experience.
  • Zero Trust Network Access experience.
  • Privileged Access Management experience.
  • Experience supporting the United States Air Force.
  • Data analytics experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assess complex enterprise environments and identify information security risks, capability gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the design and advancement of information protection, data security, privacy and zero trust strategies.
  • Contribute subject-matter expertise in Identity and Access Management, Zero Trust Network Access and Privileged Access Management.
  • Engage senior client executives and technical practitioners to develop actionable recommendations and implementation approaches.
  • Communicate findings, priorities and recommendations clearly to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Support security initiatives in U.S. Federal Government and U.S. Air Force environments.
