About The Position

The Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst defines, develops and/or implements Technology Controls / Information Security related policies, programs, tools and provides specialized expertise and guidance on assessing risks, identifying potential gaps and providing security solutions to mitigate risks and protect the Bank. Participates on projects of moderate to high complexity and provide complex reporting, analysis, and assessments at the functional, business line or enterprise level for own area. As part of the Protect Threat Intelligence team, this role delivers timely, actionable cyber and fraud intelligence across TD’s follow-the-sun model and maintains knowledge of emerging threats, cybercriminal ecosystems, ransomware, initial access brokers, and underground marketplaces.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Information security certification / accreditation an asset
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced knowledge of one or more technology controls / security domains, disciplines and practices
  • Proficient to advanced knowledge of organization, technology controls / security/ risk issues

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with assessing threat actors’ capabilities, intent, targeting, tactics, techniques, and procedures using OSINT, dark web monitoring, internal telemetry, and technical research.
  • Experience with intelligence frameworks and methods, including MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, the Diamond Model, attribution analysis, and analysis of competing hypotheses.
  • Experience with vulnerability and AI-amplified exploitation analysis using CVE, CVSS, exposure, and enterprise patching data to guide remediation priorities.
  • Experience with AI, scripting, and automation to streamline workflows and strengthen threat analysis, attribution, and assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Provides specialized expertise and guidance on assessing risks, identifying potential gaps and providing security solutions to mitigate risks and protect the Bank.
  • Participates on projects of moderate to high complexity.
  • Provides complex reporting, analysis, and assessments at the functional, business line or enterprise level for own area.
  • Delivers timely, actionable cyber and fraud intelligence across TD’s follow-the-sun model.
  • Maintains knowledge of emerging threats, cybercriminal ecosystems, ransomware, initial access brokers, and underground marketplaces.
  • Monitors internal and external sources for relevant cyber and fraud threats, risks, and events.
  • Partners with Security and Fraud Operations to provide actionable intelligence, triage complex SIEM events, and mitigate threats before they affect the firm.
  • Advises stakeholders and delivers technical briefings on emerging cyber and fraud threats, regulatory requirements, and banking and technology standards.
  • Maintains expertise in cybercriminal ecosystems and common fraud threats, including ransomware, account takeover, compromised credentials, phishing, smishing, account fraud, and impersonation scams.
  • Identifies process improvements, promotes risk-reducing behaviors, and manages priorities to meet production schedules.
