About The Position

AECOM’s Technology Solutions Group (TSG) is seeking a Senior-Level Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) Consultant to join our ICT Team. This position is also open to a remote working situation. The Senior Technology and Security Consultant will have or develop a solid understanding of client business practices and goals to develop and formulate solutions to client problems on assigned projects. Under general direction, this role is responsible for the creation of work plans and task definitions. The consultant will have broad technical knowledge but possess an area of specialization or focus. They will apply in-depth knowledge of ICT Infrastructure types and uses to perform complex and unique assignments including survey, design, development, and construction administration of ICT infrastructure projects. This role will be responsible for ICT design and consulting for Data Centers, Structured Cabling Systems (SCS), Campus / Wide Area Networks (WAN), Passive Optical Networks (PON), and Outside Plant (OSP). The consultant will perform specific and/or limited ICT Design and Consulting duties as part of a team of expert Consultants, gathering and correlating engineering data using established and well-defined procedures. They will work on detailed and/or routine design and/or consulting assignments, proposing solutions to solve new and/or complex problems encountered. The role will provide guidance and direction to internal mid-level consultants and production staff, performing work in accordance with the agreed-upon budget and schedule with minimal supervision.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accredited college/university plus 8 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Current BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) Certification.
U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

A security clearance is preferred but not required (potential/desire to obtain a security clearance is required).
5 years of design experience with ICT infrastructure.
Professional experience and/or proficiency in various software products, including but not limited to, Revit, AutoCAD, Visio Professional, Bluebeam Extreme (Revu), Microsoft Project, Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) and other ICT Specific Programs.
Professional experience and/or proficiency in various Codes Standards and regulations including but not limited to Permitting, State & Local Ordinances, IEEE – C2 Standard (National Electrical Safety Code), OSHA - 1910 Standards, TIA – Cabling Standards, TIA – Data Center Standards and BICSI – TDMM and other Manuals.

Responsibilities
