Senior Industrial Engineer
About The Position
The Senior Industrial Engineer will lead projects or processes of diverse scope while working independently with limited supervision. This role supports continuous improvement and automation activities, establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel, and conducts various studies to develop and implement plans for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. The position also assists manufacturing plant and facilities engineers with facility planning and design, and supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree; or 3 years of related experience with a master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
Responsibilities
- Leads projects or processes of diverse scope while working independently with limited supervision
- Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals
- Supports continuous improvement and automation activities
- Establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel
- Conducts cost, inventory, and production control studies as well as human factors studies to develop and implement plans for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods
- Assists manufacturing plant and facilities engineers with facility planning and design
- Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Other duties as assigned
