Senior Industrial Engineer

LEGORichmond, VA

About The Position

The Senior Industrial Engineer will take charge of mapping the Packing processes and material flows – all adjacent data, inputs/outputs, and system dependencies. Will drive the overall industrial engineering topics related to the implementation of process changes, new products, and new technologies. The determination of process impacts, updates to product work descriptions and routings. Collecting and maintaining equipment. Will also handle the following: Drive continues improvement projects for process and support area projects. Feed process set up into the process engineering team for collaborative approach to introductions. Create procedures and visual aid as well as improving the standards and structure for these documents. Own the management of change for engineering – including deviations, trials, and permanent changes. Create and update reports and metrics related to new product (novelty) performance. Multi-functional and cross-site collaboration. Close collaboration with R&D department in crafting new industrial engineering processes. The NPI and Engineering department exists to be the bridge between Development and Packing Production for successful introduction and sustainment of new technologies, products, and processes. We establish and uphold the pace, standard, and tone for introductions of products and technologies to the production area. By collaborating with Production Departments, we aim to achieve and optimize manufacturing efficiency. The Senior Industrial Engineer leads all aspects of the development and ownership of the product flow and matching equipment. This work requires developing a process flow map and maintaining the relationships between systems and related data. It also involves collaborating with other departments. The goal is to apply the model to support simulations and digital twins to better understand system behavior, predict constraints, and lead system changes. The role also is responsible for developing and leading the introduction of new products to the site packing area.
