About The Position

The Sr Industrial Engineer is responsible for driving the development and implementation of industrial models and analytical tools that support manufacturing decision making. The Sr Industrial Engineer collaborates with key manufacturing stakeholders in defining the roadmap for changes to resources, infrastructure, and machines driven by meaningful insights derived from the organization’s key analytical tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
  • 2+ years relevant experience in an engineering role
  • Experience with Data visualization Tools
  • Experience in manufacturing or warehousing environments
  • Experience with analysis tools such as SQL and Tableau, or equivalents.
  • Growth mindset: you believe in continuous learning by dedication of time, effort and energy.
  • Takes independent initiative to complete projects with a sense of urgency.
  • Competence in mathematical computing with at least one programming language (e.g. Python, R, Java), and the ability to learn technical methods and tools independently.
  • Proficiency presentation skills, including the ability to simplify results & statistical concepts into simple and actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to perform effectively in a demanding environment with changing workloads and deadlines.
  • Experience with continuous improvement / lean programs.
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, and Word).

Responsibilities

  • Lead industrial engineering activities supporting new product introductions and product transfers, including capacity planning, labor modeling, line balancing, process validation, and production readiness assessments.
  • Support the design of storage and processing areas, develop new workflows and procedures, work closely with vendors to procure equipment, and coordinate any required build-out or construction within the facility
  • Support customer RFP and RFQ activities by developing manufacturing capacity, labor, cycle time, and resource analyses used to evaluate production feasibility and business commitments.
  • Evaluate & review proposed changes to Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)/Shop Floor Control (SFC) processes.
  • Develop manufacturing cost models to support business case development and product launch decisions.
