About The Position

Direct ChassisLink Inc. (DCLI) is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Income Tax Accountant to support its corporate tax function. This role is primarily responsible for the preparation and support of U.S. federal and state income tax compliance, income tax provisions, and related tax analysis, with additional exposure to Mexico tax matters. This position operates as an individual contributor with no direct reports and works closely with the Senior Manager, Income Tax and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
• 2-4 years tax accounting experience
• Verbal and written communication skills that are clear, concise, and organized
• Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state income tax laws and ASC 740
• Proficient utilizing research tools such as RIA Checkpoint and Bloomberg BNA and documenting findings and conclusions
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Self-sufficient and highly motivated to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and project manage workload
• Support team approach to achieving organizational objectives and promote a positive work environment
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening

Nice To Haves

• CPA preferred
• some public accounting experience preferred
• experience with Alteryx is a plus
• ONESOURCE or similar tax preparation software experience is a plus
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare U.S. federal and state income tax returns, including supporting workpapers and schedules
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740
• Prepare and analyze book-to-tax differences and maintain tax basis balance sheets
• Conduct research to properly document tax positions
• Support tax accounting for domestic and Mexico operations, including coordination with external advisors as needed
• Assist with the calculation and tracking of deferred tax assets and liabilities
• Prepare tax-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation
• Support responses to federal and state tax notices and assist with audits and inquiries
• Maintain and improve tax compliance processes and documentation
• Monitor changes in tax laws and assess potential impacts to the company
• Collaborate with accounting, finance, and external service providers to gather required data
• Address tax notices as received
• Prepare payment support to provide to AP for any payments made
• Maintain company business licenses
