About The Position

O.C. Tanner is seeking a Senior Incentive Product Manager to lead the strategy, discovery, and delivery of incentive-based products. These products are designed to drive behavior change, improve performance, incorporate gamification, and achieve measurable business outcomes within our recognition ecosystem. This role focuses on rules-based and performance-oriented incentives, such as those for direct sales, channel partners, service, safety, quality, productivity, and general employee incentives. The position leverages behavioral science, gamification, and data-driven design to influence outcomes in scalable and enterprise-ready ways, aiming for meaningful rather than transactional experiences.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of product management experience in incentives, performance management, gamification, or behavior-driven SaaS products.
  • Background in analytic and rules-based platforms.
  • Demonstrated success building configurable, global enterprise products.
  • Familiarity with recognition, rewards, or employee experience platforms.
  • Proven experience owning product strategy end-to-end in complex environments.
  • Working knowledge of behavioral science, motivation, and incentive design.
  • Ability to translate ambiguity into clear product direction and outcomes.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder influence skills.
  • Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Experience in direct sales and channel partner ecosystems.
  • Experience partnering with finance on budget models, forecasting, and governance controls.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery with clients, sales, client success, and internal partners to understand incentive use cases, buying behaviors, and success measures.
  • Conduct competitive and market analysis across incentives, gamification, and performance-driven SaaS solutions.
  • Partner with research, analytics, and insights teams to turn data into actionable product direction.
  • Create a go-to market strategy for incentive products.
  • Champion incentive experiences that are meaningful and drive measurable outcomes.
  • Lead the end-to-end product strategy for incentive-based solutions, including rules-based incentives, automated triggers, milestone-based rewards, and performance-driven experiences.
  • Define and evolve a long-term vision for incentives that integrates technology, awards, services, and analytics.
  • Translate behavioral science and motivation principles into scalable product capabilities.
  • Define how to evolve opportunities beyond traditional recognition into next-generation incentive and culture solutions.
  • Ensure solutions are globally adaptable, configurable, and supported by appropriate governance tools.
  • Partner with the product partnership team on product strategy and direction.
  • Own and prioritize the incentive product roadmap, balancing innovation, scalability, technical health, and operational readiness.
  • Partner closely with Product Partnerships, Engineering, UX, Architecture, Data, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Client Success, and Operations from concept through delivery.
  • Define clear product outcomes and requirements while empowering technical teams to design the best solutions.
  • Deliver iteratively, using real-world learnings and performance data to continuously improve.
  • Define success metrics tied to behavior change, engagement, client value, and business impact.
  • Build a measurement framework that helps clients and internal stakeholders understand what is working and why.
  • Communicate progress, outcomes, and trade-offs clearly to executive and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary product leader for incentive capabilities, influencing across teams without direct authority.
  • Partner deeply with Product Partnerships, Sales, Client Success, Award Strategy, Marketing, Finance, and Technology to align incentives with business goals.
  • Build trust through clarity, follow-up, and practical problem solving.
  • Mentor and support other product managers as incentive capabilities mature.
