About The Position

As a Senior Implementation Consultant, you will independently lead functional workstreams for Onomatic implementations from discovery through go-live and stabilization. Acting as a trusted advisor to customer operations leaders, you will translate complex warehouse requirements into scalable solutions, coordinate decisions across business and technical teams, and mentor less-experienced analysts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, functional consulting, or enterprise software implementation, including at least 3 years implementing supply chain, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing execution, or automation software.
  • Experience on at least two full-cycle software implementations, with autonomous ownership of a major functional workstream from discovery through go-live.
  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse and distribution processes such as receiving, inventory control, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, returns, and exception management.
  • Proven ability to lead client workshops, produce functional documentation, configure software, and support testing, training, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and French
  • The ability to speak more than 1 language is required for this role in order to conduct business outside of the province of Québec;
  • Ability to travel within Canada and the United States up to 30% of the time, with a valid Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience with WMS, WES/WCS, LMS, TMS, ERP, MES, or warehouse automation and orchestration platforms.
  • Exposure to conveyors, sortation, AMRs/AGVs, AS/RS, robotics, PLC-connected equipment, or other material-handling automation.
  • Familiarity with enterprise integrations and data flows, including REST APIs or web services, message-based interfaces, data mapping, SQL, and log analysis.
  • Experience in a consulting or SaaS delivery environment, including project scoping, estimates, demonstrations, or pre-sales support.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery, current-state and future-state process mapping, fit-gap, and design workshops; document processes, requirements, decisions, assumptions, and acceptance criteria.
  • Own the functional design and configuration of assigned workstreams; translate operational needs into specifications, user stories, data and integration requirements, and testable outcomes.
  • Advise customers on warehouse and supply chain best practices; challenge assumptions, explain options and trade-offs, and drive timely decisions.
  • Coordinate with project managers, product owners, developers, QA, and integration teams to resolve ambiguity, manage dependencies, and keep delivery moving.
  • Plan and lead functional testing, including scenario design, system and integration testing support, UAT preparation, defect triage, regression validation, and business sign-off.
  • Own the quality and timely completion of workstream deliverables; proactively manage risks, issues, decisions, actions, and scope impacts.
  • Lead customer training, operational readiness, cutover, go-live support, and stabilization; participate in on-call rotations and after-hours support as required.
  • Diagnose complex implementation and production issues using process knowledge, system data, and logs; coordinate investigation and drive resolution.
  • Mentor business analysts and consultants, review deliverables, and contribute reusable templates, standards, and lessons learned.
  • Support solution scoping, effort estimates, demonstrations, and proposal inputs when implementation expertise is required.
