We represent clients in Business Immigration matters as well as matters before the Immigration Court, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Board of Immigration Appeals, the federal district courts, and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. The Senior Immigration Attorney will be responsible for representing individuals in Immigration Court and Family courts for special immigrant juvenile findings. They will also prepare clients for interviews before USCIS, DOS, and the Asylum Office. The role involves providing direct legal representation to both detained and non-detained clients seeking affirmative and defensive relief, including asylum claims, withholding of removal, protection under the Convention Against Torture, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), U-Visas, T-Visas, waivers of inadmissibility, applications for employment authorization, and Cancellation of Removal. The attorney will also represent clients before USCIS and in local state courts for custody and SIJS hearings, manage follow-up with potential clients post-intake, evaluate eligibility for legal relief, and stay informed about new developments in immigration law. Additionally, the attorney trains and supervises support staff on legal matters and practices, and undertakes various administrative responsibilities related to casework, including the preparation and submission of all aspects of filings. The ideal candidate demonstrates a deep understanding of immigration law, enabling them to provide competent, client-centered legal services with minimal supervision. Strong advocacy skills, both in writing and orally, are essential, as is the capability to guide and assist support staff. Hands-on experience litigating immigration cases before Immigration Courts and conducting client interviews before USCIS is required.
