Lumos & Associates is currently seeking an experienced Senior Hydrogeologist to join our growing team of water/wastewater design professionals. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced hydrogeologist to lead, manage, and grow complex water resource projects across Nevada and neighboring states. The Senior Hydrogeologist will provide technical leadership, project management, and client-facing expertise on a wide range of groundwater and water infrastructure projects while mentoring staff and contributing to the strategic growth of Lumos’ water resources practice. The Senior Hydrogeologist will serve as a key technical and project leader supporting groundwater exploration, aquifer testing, production wells, hydrographic basin monitoring, dewatering systems, well assessments, and integrated water resource projects. The role combines advanced technical work, project execution, client interaction, and internal leadership within Lumos’ Engineering Division. The successful candidate will build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, regulators, consultants, and internal team members while advancing Lumos’ hydrogeologic capabilities and service offerings. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities and skills: Advanced technical expertise in applied hydrogeology and water resources with strong attention to detail and data quality. Extensive experience with well design and construction, aquifer testing, dewatering systems, water chemistry / water quality analysis, and groundwater investigations. Strong technical writing and data visualization skills, including preparation of high-quality reports, figures, and tables. Proficiency with industry software (e.g., AQTESOLV, Surfer, GIS, and AutoCAD). Groundwater modeling and Python or other programming experience are highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and schedules concurrently. Excellent professional communication skills with proven success working directly with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies. Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of independent decision-making. Interest in advancing Lumos’ hydrogeology practice through innovation, efficiency, and service development.
