Senior HVAC Technician
About The Position
The Senior HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of industrial HVAC, refrigeration, and environmental control systems throughout a large candy manufacturing facility. This position plays a critical role in maintaining proper environmental conditions required for food safety, product quality, employee comfort, and production reliability. This role requires a highly skilled technician with extensive industrial HVAC experience, strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification required
- Minimum 8–10 years of industrial HVAC experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and control systems
- Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Nice To Haves
- HVAC technical school certification or associate degree preferred
- Experience in food, candy, pharmaceutical, or consumer packaged goods manufacturing
- Experience with Glycol systems
- Experience with Chilled water systems
- Experience with Building automation systems
- Experience with PLC-controlled HVAC systems
- Experience with Allen-Bradley or Siemens controls
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred
