Senior HVAC Technician & Handyman | Orlando Rental Homes | Company Vehicle + Gas
About The Position
Rent Prosper, a locally owned Orlando real estate brokerage and property management company, is seeking a skilled Senior HVAC Technician with strong handyman abilities to join their Single Family Rentals team. This role offers a unique work environment with a Monday-Friday schedule (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM), no forced overtime, and no upsell pressure, focusing on repair-first solutions. A company vehicle and gas card are provided during work hours. The position involves a variety of tasks including HVAC troubleshooting and repairs, as well as plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general handyman work across a portfolio of rental homes.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on maintenance experience at apartments or rental properties
- 7+ years of residential HVAC and air conditioning troubleshooting and repairs on older systems
- EPA Certification required
- Experience with older properties (1980s through 2000s), fixtures, and appliances
- Valid driver's license required
- Comfortable with significant daily driving as part of your normal workday
- Comfortable with a pre-employment background screening
- Repair mindset — you fix things right the first time
- Positive communicator who takes pride in taking care of residents
Responsibilities
- HVAC troubleshooting and repairs on older residential systems (various brands and models, 10+ years old)
- Repair, remove, and replace: coils, Freon, compressors, fans, capacitors, drain lines, and more
- Troubleshooting and repair of stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers, and microwaves
- Remove and replace toilets, sinks, faucets, shower heads, water heaters, and garbage disposals
- Repair light and fan fixtures, switches, receptacles, and appliance connections
- Perform minor drywall repairs, touch-up painting, carpentry, and general punch list items
- Log time in and time out for all jobs
- Take before and after photos of every repair
- List all materials used and submit receipts
