About The Position
HTS Engineering Ltd. is seeking an experienced Chiller Service Technician responsible for performing chiller inspections and maintenance. The ideal candidate will be customer service oriented, work well with others, and possess a high level of correspondence skills with Project Managers, Service Coordinators, and customers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Current HVAC certification
- OSHA 10 Training
- Previous experience of 5+ years in chiller/HVAC maintenance, mechanical engineering, or other related fields.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and unscheduled maintenance and repair of industrial mechanical systems including air cooled chillers, centrifugal chillers, pumps, cooling towers, air handler units, valves, fan coil units, variable air volume systems, etc.
- Diagnose and repair machine and equipment defects including electronic, mechanical, and electrical components related to these systems. Obtain replacement parts, calibrate systems to manufacturer’s recommendations, and explain issues and solutions to customers.
- Oversee installation and operation of various mechanical systems.
- Lead training development for chiller/HVAC maintenance business.
- Be available to work some nights or weekends on a rotating basis for emergency customer needs.
- Maintain company vehicle in good working order, including refueling, reporting mechanical issues, washing, and ensuring proper stock of parts, tools, and safety equipment.
- Maintain all relevant documentation related to services and tasks performed, including make, model, serial number, test measurements, and pictures.
- Provide detailed, complete, and timely paperwork.
- Identify and report potential business opportunities to supervisor/manager, including site visits, conference calls with subcontractors, and cost estimation.
- Provide updates to dispatch, parts procurement, supervisors, and managers regarding work progression.
- Schedule and coordinate services with the customer.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
